LOVELY CITY

Huaraz is such a lovely city! It has a peaceful vibe tucked away in between mountains and nevados. The city has a small town feel, very safe with plenty of chill cafes and restaurants to pass the time with wifi and a good cup of coffee.



I loved the hike to Laguna 69. It was a good challenge to take on the altitude and climb up to 4700 meters.



We woke up with the sun, and watched the sky turn colors over the mountains on the drive up to the trailhead. After a nice breakfast in the mountain air, we started off along the trail. The landscape was gorgeous with something new to look at around every curve, which made for great distractions from the challenge of the hike.



The view of the lake at the top was well worth it, it´s an amazing sight to see a lake that color with your own eyes!! I had a great time in Huaraz and I hope you will too!
